FAIZ SYED

Originally from Pakistan, my educational and professional journey has taken me across multiple countries, cultures, and learning environments, giving me first-hand insight into the challenges and opportunities international students face. In 2015, I moved to Malaysia to pursue a Diploma in Football Studies course, where I gained valuable exposure to multicultural education and developed a deeper appreciation for the transformative impact of international study.

In 2018, I moved to Aotearoa New Zealand to continue my academic journey, completing a Bachelor of Sport Coaching at University of Canterbury (2018–2020). This experience strengthened my leadership, analytical, and coaching capabilities while helping me understand the academic and personal challenges of adapting to a new country and education system.

My passion for education and student development led me to pursue further postgraduate study at two additional New Zealand universities. I completed a Master of Teaching and Learning at University of Waikato (2024–2025), becoming a qualified secondary school teacher, and later completed a Master of Business in Global Management and Marketing at Lincoln University (2025–2026), expanding my expertise in education, strategy, and global business.

Beyond academic qualifications, I bring extensive experience in teaching, youth development, coaching, and community leadership across New Zealand. ASKOS Education was founded from both professional expertise and lived experience, with a mission to help students and families navigate educational pathways with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
